Cheyenne Animal Shelter Offering FREE Spay and Neuter Surgeries
The Cheyenne Animal Shelter will be offering free spay and neuter surgeries to those who come to the shelter and microchip their pet(s).
From Feb. 13 - 17, local pet-owners can bring their animals to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to get them microchipped for $20 (a discounted rate.) Once they’ve been microchipped, the owners can sign up to get that animal spayed or neutered at one of our participating veterinary clinics for free.
Surgeries will take place between Feb. 20 and Feb. 24. There are a limited number of surgery appointments available. The appointments are filled on a first come, first served basis. If an animal is already microchipped, you can still sign up for a free surgery if a donation of $20 is given to the shelter.
A big thank you to Avenues Pet Clinic, Broadmoor East Veterinary Clinic, Cheyenne Pet Clinic and La Zoetry Pet Clinic for partnering with us on this important initiative. They are providing the surgeries to us at a discounted rate, and the shelter is paying for the surgeries to provide them to the public for free.
Animals must be vaccinated prior to surgery, and the shelter cannot pay for vaccinations. The participating clinics can provide needed vaccines; please call them for more information.
