Meet Your Coordinator

I started with the Cheyenne Animal Shelter as a volunteer last April and instantly fell in love with the animals, the people, and the mission of the organization. I felt lucky to work with such an amazing team and to make a difference in the lives of so many pets and people in our community. Following a summer of volunteer service and a fall of board service, I decided to pursue my passion full-time and jump on board as the new volunteer coordinator. My vision for the volunteer program is for volunteers to be an integral part of our organization and to feel accepted as part of the team. My goal is to foster an environment that encourages learning and growth and to empower volunteers to be advocates for our animals and our community. I feel it is crucial to recognize and embrace passion and place volunteers where they are passionate. To get a dog, cat, or critter to a new and loving home takes a village and while not all jobs are glamorous, it is important to see the bigger picture and know that all are crucial to successful outcomes for the animals in our care.
