As our Director of Operations, you will hold the heart of our shelter’s daily operations in your hands. You will be responsible for executing the strategic direction and overall management of our core services—including Animal Care and Placement, Reunification, Facilities, Safety, and Post-Adoption Support (managed seamlessly through an advanced third-party integration platform).
This is an extraordinary opportunity to shape the future of our shelter. Additionally, because data transparency is central to our values, you will have the unique opportunity to build a brand-new reporting culture from the ground up—identifying key operational performance metrics and developing routine benchmarking systems.
You will directly supervise a passionate team (including our Shelter Manager, Animal Care Specialist, and Foster Care Specialist) and indirectly guide approximately 25 dedicated staff members in Animal and Customer Care.

A Shelter Team Member with emphasis on customer care specifically provides assistance to potential adopters and others visiting the Shelter. The team member provides accurate information and timely assistance to all patrons in person, via telephone, or electronically in accordance with the Shelter’s mission, goals and management philosophy.
This position is directly responsible for processing adoptions, intakes, digital transfers, maintaining a professional front lobby, facilitating animal meets, cleaning, data input regarding onsite animals, and assisting the Volunteer Coordinator with volunteer training. Provides quality animal care and customer service in accordance with the Shelter’s mission, goals and philosophy.
Personal development and continued education in the sheltering industry is highly recommended. Position progression is available through performance evaluation. All interviews for this position are based on the Shelter Team Member 1, but over time this position has the potential to become a Shelter Team Member 3.

The Shelter Team Member is the primary point of contact for animal care, customer care, data input, email/phone communication, animal behavior, animal enrichment, Shelter intakes and outcomes, sanitation and many other initial entry tasks and duties.
A Shelter Team Member with emphasis on animal care specifically provides humane care for Sheltered animals. This position is directly responsible for the feeding, cleaning, enrichment, observation, data input regarding onsite animals, and assisting the Volunteer Coordinator with volunteer training. Provides quality animal care and customer service in accordance with the Shelter’s mission, goals and philosophy.
Personal development and continued education in the sheltering industry is highly recommended. Position progression is available through performance evaluation. All interviews for this position are based on the Shelter Team Member 1, but over time this position has the potential to become a Shelter Team Member 3.

This is an entry level position with on the job training. Proficiency in basic duties is expected within 6 months of hire.
Assist veterinary team in the veterinary clinic including medical treatments, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, and clinic cleaning. This team member will assist with examinations, vaccinations, deworming, medical and behavior evaluation of animals entering the shelter. Work as a team member to help CAS pursue its mission, goals, and philosophy.
This staff member will cross train with Customer Service and Animal Care within 6 months of hiring.

The Veterinary Technician is a skilled, specialist position. This position requires completion of an accredited veterinary technician program or a minimum of 5 yrs prior experience and has obtained WY licensure.
Supervise medical treatments, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, and clinic cleaning. This team member will perform examinations, vaccinations, deworming, medical and behavior evaluation of animals entering the shelter. Work as a team member to help CAS pursue its mission, goals, and philosophy.
This staff member will cross train with Customer Service and Animal Care within 6 months of hiring. This team member will be euthanasia certified within 6 months of hire.
