Meet Boon - Hoarding Case Update 2

Boondoggle was one of the first hoarding case dogs to step off the Animal Control truck on October 11th. He was also one of the most injured.

This 1-year-old Cane Corso/Mastiff was riddled with fly bites, infected lacerations, and old scars. And on top of it all, birdseed was embedded and stuck to each of his wounds.

But it wasn't his injuries that surprised us. It was Boondoggle's gentle giant nature, his willingness to cuddle, and the gentle kisses he showered on our team despite all he had been through.

Over the last two weeks, Boondoggle has received treatment and is healing well, continuing to prove what a big love bug he is. His whole body wiggles when he meets a new friend right before plopping down for his favorite activity... belly rubs!

Now that custody of Boondoggle and the 102 other animals has been granted to the shelter, we begin our next steps of finding them loving homes to join.

Be sure to keep an eye on our website, where we will be listing these pets as they become available for adoption.

If you're interested in supporting these pets on their journeys but aren't looking to adopt, you can also make your impact by donating!

Thanks to our friends at Dr. Elsey's your donation will go twice as far with their $10,000 match, ensuring Boondoggle and his friends continue to receive the love and care they deserve.

We thank you for the kindness and support you have shown us. We look forward to seeing these fluffy, feathered, and shelled pets find the homes they have been dreaming of.

Sincerely,

Your friends at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter
